Our clients moved from a sprawling rural ranch to a suburban colonial, and wanted to bring the old-school sophistication of a classic country estate to their newly-purchased home. To convey the comfort and character of an English country house, we used rich wood detailing, a mix of antique furnishings, and time-worn touches – like the beautiful hand-stitched flannel wallpaper in the billiard room or the antique mirrored backsplash behind the bar. And each corner of the home was designed to feel stately, well-appointed and warm – so you could curl up with a glass of scotch by the fire.
