As a family of boaters, our clients wanted their shingle-style estate to reflect their love of the sea. To achieve a nautical look, we used whitewashed wood paneling, brass fixtures, and a classic navy and white color palette. And we added antique elements, like framed oil paintings and Edwardian-style bed frames, that you might find in the storied seaside homes of historic naval captains, dotting the shores of the East Coast.
