What started as a primary bathroom/closet remodel quickly pivoted to a large kitchen remodel instead with the next phase focusing on the primary bathroom. The home, built in 2004, boasted a traditional aesthetic characterized by high ceilings and generous moldings, cream glazed cabinets and verdant marble countertops. However, the layout and functionality no longer suited the fast-paced lifestyle of the clients. With clear preferences in mind, the homeowners expressed a desire for a bold blue hue and were drawn to the gold accents of the hardware and lighting, setting the tone for the entire project.

In the kitchen we expanded the pantry to include a second cooktop for holiday entertaining and redesigned the adjacent butlers pantry, adding a wallpaper detail and glass display cabinet.  The creamy white cabinetry was designed to go to the ceiling, incorporating white oak shelving and a blue accent cabinet on the opposite wall.  The island footprint was expanded to create a more usable workspace and seating for two.

Just off of the great room we replaced the wet bar with a contemporary “bourbon bar” displaying the owner’s passion for Bourbon, Whiskey and top shelf Vodka.

We also took the opportunity to repurpose the mudroom layout and incorporate tall closed storage with a To-Go counter providing space for keys, ipads, handbags and pet food.
